Here’s a plugin that will automatically create a table of contents for pages and blog posts based on headings. You can add the code only on pages/blog posts that you want it to work on. It’s a great addition to make a longer blog post easier to read and navigate.

Additional Information

This plugin creates anchor links automatically using the headings you use. It’s set by default to not work on H1’s since you should only have one H1 on your page and it should be the page title or blog post title. You can enable it easily if you have multiple H1’s on your page or blog post, although I highly recommend against it.

This plugin has been tested and is working on Squarespace 7 and Squarespace 7.1
